Congress Names Aradhana Mishra UP Chief and Imran Masood Deputy Ahead of Elections

Aradhana Mishra previously led the Congress Legislature Party in Uttar Pradesh and worked closely with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra during the party’s “Ladki Hoon, Lad Sakti Hoon” campaign for the 2022 Assembly election.
Mishra retained her Assembly seat even as Congress was routed in the previous state election; the report described her appointment as a boost to the party’s effort to attract women voters.
Masood has openly criticised the Samajwadi Party’s role in the alliance, claiming it won 37 seats in 2024 only because it was allied with Congress.
Mishra said Congress had spent the past two years strengthening its organisation and would contest the election “with our full strength,” adding, “We are going to work as a team.”
