Sheriff Offices Across Multiple Counties Report Recent Traffic Incidents and Arrests

Sheriff’s offices across several counties reported traffic incidents, investigations and arrests in their recent activity summaries. Deer-related crashes were reported in Schuyler County and Franklin County, while a separate two-vehicle collision on Interstate 24 sent one person to the hospital for evaluation. Franklin County deputies also handled burglary and fraud investigations and arrested a woman on a domestic-violence assault charge. In another county report, a woman was charged after allegedly assaulting officers and damaging property, and a Nebraska truck driver was charged with public intoxication; the report also described a fugitive being located. A separate weekly jail-bookings notice listed alleged offenses including driving with a suspended or revoked license, drug-paraphernalia possession, failure to appear and battery on a law-enforcement officer.
In Schuyler County, a driver was cited for improper lane usage after sideswiping another vehicle on Route 103 near Sugar Grove Road; deputies also issued four traffic warnings and handled two animal complaints.
Franklin County deputies assisted the Maine Warden Service with a group of ATV riders who were giving a landowner trouble in Freeman Township. A dog reported stolen in Avon was later found and returned home.
In the Interstate 24 crash, investigators said Joshua T. Sabala’s Nissan left its lane while passing a vehicle on the right and sideswiped Alexis A. Tolley’s Honda. Tolley was taken to a Paducah hospital for evaluation; Sabala was uninjured.
Stephens County deputies joined Liberty Hill Church in delivering food and supplies to residents in Toccoa and later helped the church’s youth group distribute snacks and supplies at the Whitman Learning Center. Sgt. Kiser and K-9 Taz also demonstrated their work for students.
