LEGO unveils its largest Ideas set yet with a 4,711-piece Downton Abbey model.

The model is based on Season 6 of the series and includes minifigures of characters including Violet Crawley, Robert and Cora Crawley, Mary and Edith Crawley, Tom Branson, Mr. Carson, Mrs. Hughes, Mr. Bates, Thomas Barrow, Mrs. Patmore, Anna Bates and Daisy Parker.
The completed model measures approximately 12 inches high, 17.5 inches wide and 6.5 inches deep; it depicts only the front section of the Neo-Renaissance-style estate and is open at the back.
Fan designer Sebastian Veselka said the project reached 10,000 supporters in three months. The finished set includes an Easter egg referencing him: the initials “SV” appear in a newspaper.
The set is expected to be initially exclusive to LEGO before becoming available through selected retail partners after about three months.
The set’s 4,711 pieces place it close to LEGO Ideas’ current 5,000-piece submission ceiling, which was raised from 3,000 pieces in 2024 as fan designs became more ambitious.
LEGO has unveiled its largest Ideas set ever: a 4,711-piece recreation of Downton Abbey's Highclere Castle, priced at $349.99. IMBOLDN reports the modular model includes detailed upstairs and downstairs spaces — dining room, main hall, library, kitchen, and servants' quarters — packed with period details like candlestick phones and early electric mixers. The set comes with 13 character minifigures and launches October 1 for LEGO Insiders, with general release October 4.
The set started as a fan-designed project by Sebastian Veselka, who gathered 10,000 community supporters in just 90 days. Tech Times notes the finished product now sits close to LEGO Ideas' 5,000-piece submission limit — raised from 3,000 pieces in 2024 as fan ambitions grew bigger. Veselka's work includes a hidden Easter egg: his initials "SV" appear in a newspaper detail within the model.
The set recreates only the front section of the Neo-Renaissance-style mansion, leaving the back open for display. IMBOLDN describes it measuring roughly 12 inches high, 17.5 inches wide, and 6.5 inches deep. The model splits between upstairs grandeur — including the main hall and library where the Crawley family gathers — and downstairs servant spaces like the kitchen and Mr. Carson's office, each filled with period-accurate accessories.
The set includes minifigures of Violet, Robert, and Cora Crawley; daughters Mary and Edith; Tom Branson; and household staff like Mr. Carson, Mrs. Hughes, Mr. Bates, Thomas Barrow, Mrs. Patmore, Anna Bates, and Daisy Parker. Mirror notes the characters are drawn from Season 6 of the series, plus a miniature dog companion. Each figure captures the show's 1920s-era costumes and roles within the sprawling manor household.
LEGO Insiders get first access on October 1, 2026, followed by general public release three days later. Tech Times reports the set will remain exclusive to LEGO initially before expanding to selected retail partners after approximately three months. This phased rollout gives the premium set time as LEGO's flagship Downton Abbey product before hitting broader store shelves in early 2027.
