Silver Prices Remain Steady Across Multiple Indian Cities Amid Recent Market Volatility

Sangareddy’s silver price reached a monthly high of ₹2,86,000 per kilogram in August, after falling as low as ₹2,24,900; it ended the month at ₹2,75,900 per kilogram.
Gaya’s August silver rate ranged from ₹2,13,900 to ₹2,79,100 per kilogram and closed the month at ₹2,73,900 per kilogram, while its September range through Sept. 15 was ₹2,59,900 to ₹2,74,100.
Nellore recorded especially wide swings earlier in 2026: its March price ranged from ₹2,29,900 to ₹3,41,100 per kilogram, and its May rate ranged from ₹2,70,000 to ₹3,36,100, with the May high recorded on May 14.
Nellore’s June silver price fell to ₹2,04,000 per kilogram from an opening level of ₹3,05,900 and ended the month at ₹2,49,900, illustrating a sharper monthly decline than the July-August movements highlighted elsewhere.
The reports explain that silver purity is measured in fineness: 999 fineness means 999 parts out of 1,000 are pure silver, or 99.9% purity.
Silver prices across four major Indian cities held steady between September 15 and 18, 2026, with rates hovering between ₹2,60,900 and ₹2,65,900 per kilogram Business Today.
