The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival Announced, Bringing Retro Beat-'em-Up Action to Multiple Platforms

Trailmark and AMC Global Media describe Streets of Survival as a “premium” title and say it will feature “retro pixel-art visuals,” alongside dynamic set pieces and “environmental hazards” during its story-driven campaign.
In addition to Negan and Simon, the game’s announced boss roster includes specific fan-favorite walker threats such as “Winslow” and “the Well Walker,” with “multi-phase boss battles” called out as a key challenge.
The press material also emphasizes variety in enemy design and challenge, noting the campaign will include “unique walkers” and “hostile human strongholds,” with threats that force players to “adapt as new threats emerge.”
Odaclick Game Studio—the developer credited alongside Trailmark—has previously been linked to “The Karate Kid: Street Rumble,” per coverage that ties the studio’s experience to this new beat-’em-up project.
Trailmark Games and Odaclick Game Studio have announced The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival, a single-player, side-scrolling beat-'em-up coming to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game drops players into the All Out War storyline from AMC's The Walking Dead, pitting them against the Saviors and massive walker hordes IGN.
A playable PC demo is already live on Steam. The full release window and Switch 2 timing have not yet been confirmed ComicBook.com.
Players choose from Rick Grimes, Michonne, or Daryl Dixon. Each character fights with series-inspired moves and signature weapons — Rick's magnum, Michonne's katana, and Daryl's crossbow IGN. Combat is built around fast, arcade-style brawling. Combos, ranged attacks, and finishers all feature in the mix.
The game uses retro pixel-art visuals, according to Games Asylum. Dynamic set pieces and environmental hazards add variety to the fights. Trailmark and AMC Global Media are billing it as a "premium" title, distancing it from free-to-play mobile games like The Walking Dead: Road to Survival Bleeding Cool.
The boss roster includes human villains Negan and Simon alongside fan-favorite walker threats. Confirmed enemies include Winslow and the Well Walker — both well-known from the TV series. All major bosses feature multi-phase battles, according to Go Nintendo.
The campaign also promises "unique walkers" and hostile human strongholds. Players must adapt as new threats appear throughout the story. Locations include the Sanctuary, Hilltop, and Alexandria — core settings from the All Out War arc ComicBook.com.
Odaclick Game Studio previously made The Karate Kid: Street Rumble in 2024. That game earned a 7/10 critic average. The studio's experience with licensed retro brawlers makes it a natural fit for Streets of Survival Bleeding Cool.
However, Games Asylum flagged one potential problem: the game is single-player only. The beat-'em-up genre — think Streets of Rage or TMNT: Shredder's Revenge — traditionally thrives on co-op play. Games Asylum warned this choice will "likely impact review scores when it launches."
The flagship Walking Dead TV series ran for 12 years, ending in 2022. This game arrives 4 years after the show's conclusion. AMC Global Media is using Streets of Survival to keep the brand active through "premium" licensed gaming, a shift away from mobile and microtransaction models Go Nintendo.
Trailmark Games calls Streets of Survival the first of multiple planned projects. The Minneapolis-based publisher is new, and this is their debut title. If it succeeds, further AMC-licensed games could follow under the same retro-arcade approach Games Asylum.
