Owen McCown Throws Three Touchdowns as UTSA Defeats Vaqueros 45-16

UTSA defeated UT Rio Grande Valley 45-16 in the season opener, with Owen McCown throwing three touchdown passes. McCown started the game with a 38-yard pass to AJ Wilson Jr. and a 7-yarder to Brandon Young Jr. The Roadrunners had three offensive touchdowns over 50 yards, including a 75-yard sprint by Will Henderson III, a 62-yard screen pass to DJ Allen Jr. Ahamad Chapman added a 49-yard pick-6. McCrow finished 22 of 27 for 275 yards, while Henderson rushed for 99 yards and Peterson for 96 yards. Garret Rangel passed for 152 yards for UTRGV, who finished with 422 yards offense.
