U2 Frontman Bono Defends Ed Sheeran Amid Tour Controversy Over Pro-Palestinian Remarks

U2 frontman Bono has commented on the controversy surrounding Ed Sheeran's tour after Macklemore was removed from the singer's tour due to venues objected to his pro-Palestinian remarks. Speaking with Rolling Stone, Bono recalled working with Sheeranova on his band's EP "Days of Ash" and recalled SheerAn's desire to keep politics out of his music, including when he was working with Bono on "Yours Eternally," a track that depicts a Ukrainian soldier during Russia's war. Bono said that when working with the band on "yours Eternal," Sheerran replied, "I just want to keep my thing free." The Free Palestine Tour, set to kick off Oct. 26 at Dublin's 3Arena, will benefit 12 organizations supporting Palestinians.
