On June 27, Thane City police launched a trap operation in Kongaon village. They seized four sets of question papers and later verified them as authentic. The Daily Jagran reported that police also recovered an original question paper from a Bihar residence belonging to a relative of Bijendra Gupta, citing financial transactions and technical evidence in their investigation.
The discovery forced Maharashtra authorities to postpone the Teacher Eligibility Test scheduled for June 28. A senior police official told investigators that a supplementary chargesheet will follow as the probe continues, suggesting more arrests or charges could come.
