INMO recalls over 1,700 smart glasses in North America due to overheating risks.

INMO has recalled its AIR3 smart glasses in the United States and Canada because the left temple can overheat during extended use and create a burn hazard. The recall covers about 1,643 pairs sold in the U.S. and 120 in Canada through the company’s website, Amazon and Kickstarter. INMO has received 10 reports of overheating, including reports of a burning sensation on users’ faces and near their left ears; no injuries had been reported in Canada as of September 17, 2026. Owners should stop using the glasses and contact INMO for help with a free firmware update to version 3.16 before wearing them again.
The glasses retailed for US$900 to US$1,300. The black AIR3 model can be identified by its AIR3 and INMO labels on the right temple; Health Canada says the AIR3 label is on the inside of the right arm.
The Verge reported that reviews dating back about seven months had described overheating and a burning sensation, and that INMO had supplied a protective sleeve intended to shield the wearer’s head from the heat.
Health Canada reminded consumers that Canadian law prohibits recalled products from being resold, redistributed or given away.
U.S. customers can contact INMO about the recall at 888-212-9620, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, or find recall details at the company’s recall webpage.
