Parsons Awarded Three-Year Contract for Lusail City Infrastructure Program

The Lusail City Infrastructure Program has earned multiple industry recognitions, including MEED and Big Project Middle East Awards for Road Project of the Year and Residential/Urban Development Project of the Year.
Parsons has previously delivered other Lusail City milestones such as The Seef Lusail Development, Lusail Plaza, Lusail Commercial Boulevard, and the Qetaifan Islands.
Ahmed El-Essnawi described Lusail as 'one of the most significant urban developments in the region' and said Parsons is proud to continue supporting its delivery.
Qatari Diar will celebrate its 20th anniversary in November, a milestone highlighted in the context of the ongoing Lusail City collaboration.
Parsons Corporation has won a three-year contract from Lusail Real Estate Development Company (LREDC) to manage construction across the Lusail City Infrastructure Program in Qatar, according to MarketScreener. The deal covers programme management, construction management, and construction supervision across a 38-square-kilometre site north of Doha.
The contract extends a partnership between Parsons and LREDC that dates back to 2006. Ahmed El-Essnawi, Parsons' Qatar Vice President, called Lusail 'one of the most significant urban developments in the region,' according to MEP Middle East.
Lusail City is divided into 19 districts across 38 square kilometres. It features four islands and a growing hospitality sector. Parsons will handle design and construction oversight, interface management, project controls, quality assurance, and stakeholder coordination across the entire site, according to Goldea Capital.
Interface management means keeping dozens of contractors and designers working in sync. On a site this large, that job is critical. Parsons will act as the central coordinator, making sure every piece of the city fits together on time.
This is not a new relationship. Parsons first worked with LREDC in 2006. Since then, the firm has delivered major Lusail milestones including the Marina District, Lusail Plaza, Lusail Commercial Boulevard, The Seef Lusail Development, and the Qetaifan Islands, according to MEP Middle East.
The Lusail City Infrastructure Program has also earned top industry awards. Those include MEED and Big Project Middle East Awards for Road Project of the Year and Residential/Urban Development Project of the Year, according to MarketScreener.
Lusail City is a flagship project under Qatar National Vision 2030. That plan aims to diversify Qatar's economy away from oil and gas. Lusail is designed to show what sustainable, large-scale urban growth looks like in the Gulf region, according to Goldea Capital.
The city's developer, Qatari Diar, will mark its 20th anniversary in November. That milestone adds symbolic weight to the new contract. Parsons' continued role signals confidence in long-term delivery partnerships on complex, multi-decade projects.
The award strengthens Parsons' standing as a go-to partner for large urban programs in the Middle East. El-Essnawi said Parsons is 'proud to continue supporting' Lusail's delivery under the new programme, according to MEP Middle East.
Parsons Corporation trades on the NYSE under the ticker PSN. Winning a renewed, multi-year contract on one of the Gulf's biggest city-building projects is a strong signal for the firm's regional pipeline. The three-year term gives both sides a clear runway to hit the next phase of delivery targets, according to Goldea Capital.
