Samsung raises Galaxy smartphone prices across India amid rising component costs

Samsung’s rising component and memory costs are driving smartphone price increases in India. The Galaxy S26 series has already become as much as 17% more expensive, while Samsung’s India store has raised Galaxy A36 and A56 prices by up to ₹3,000; some older prices may remain available temporarily through retailers. Separate reports say Galaxy S25 and Z Fold8 prices could rise by up to ₹10,000 in India in October, though Samsung has not confirmed those changes. Samsung is also expected to raise Galaxy S26 prices in South Korea starting October 1, but says those prices remain under review.
In the Philippines, Galaxy S26 prices have not yet risen, and ongoing Samsung trade-in promotions can reduce the listed price by up to ₱45,725.
The Galaxy S26 lineup had already launched in India at prices 8% to 15% higher than the preceding Galaxy S25 series, before the latest increases.
The reported Galaxy S25 and Z Fold8 price revisions are tentatively expected in the first week of October, but the report does not say whether the full ₹10,000 increase would apply to every Fold8 storage configuration.
Ahead of India’s festive sales, early Flipkart Big Billion Days promotions suggest the Galaxy S25 FE could fall below ₹50,000 and the Galaxy S25 below ₹60,000 after bank offers and discounts.
