Nuvoco and CleanMax Partner to Build Rajasthan Wind-Solar Hybrid Project

Nuvoco Vistas has partnered with CleanMax to develop a 46.4 MW wind-solar hybrid project at Bhikamkhore, Rajasthan, and will acquire a 26% stake in the project company. The facility will combine 20 MW of wind capacity, 26.4 MW of solar capacity and a 2-MWh battery storage system, with power delivered to Nuvoco’s cement operations through the State Transmission Utility’s open-access network. Once operational, it is expected to generate about 100 million units of electricity annually and avoid roughly 125,485 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year across Scope 1 and Scope 2. The companies say the project will increase renewable power use, reduce reliance on conventional energy and support long-term cost efficiency as part of Nuvoco’s decarbonization efforts.
