Norcross Gallery and Studios hosts a monthlong local art auction featuring diverse mediums.

In “Verity,” Dakota Johnson plays Lowen, a struggling writer hired to complete Verity’s novels; while staying in Verity’s home, Lowen becomes fascinated by both the novelist’s life and her husband.
Anne Hathaway said she and Johnson sometimes giggled while trying to play frightening scenes: “There’s just something about knowing that you’re supposed to be scary that makes you giggle.”
The gallery’s auction includes specific works such as Jacques Murphy’s abstract painting “Squares” and Cynthia Corbin’s “Paradise Pinks”; photographer Ashley Lynch’s flower portraits use a light box and overexposure to create a “ghostly look.”
The gallery is at 116 Carlyle Street in downtown Norcross. Its regular programming includes Tuesday figure and portrait study sessions and a Thursday-to-Saturday open studio.

Beyond the auction, Norcross Gallery and Studios provides ongoing opportunities for art engagement.
