Amazon India Announces Great Indian Festival Sale Starting October 8 With Massive Discounts

Amazon said it is expanding its operations network with 20 new fulfilment centres, six sort centres and 150 new last-mile delivery stations to support festive-season demand.
Amazon India said its network supports more than 1.7 million sellers, with more than 300,000 sellers joining the platform over the past year.
Amazon India Vice President Saurabh Srivastava said customers would see the “lowest prices of the year on crores of products,” with delivery times ranging from minutes to same-day or next-day depending on location and availability.
Amazon said shoppers can find products through dedicated programmes including Launchpad, Local Shops, Karigar and Saheli, which feature offerings from startups, local businesses, artisans and entrepreneurs.
Amazon’s Rufus assistant includes a Price History tracker that monitors prices over the previous 30–90 days and can alert shoppers when an item reaches a target price; Rufus also supports natural-language searches such as requests for children’s costumes or coordinated Indian outfits.
