Corey Day Edges Carson Kvapil to Claim Victory at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Corey Day, a 20-year-old Hendrick Motorsports rookie, won his third NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series victory Saturday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in one of the season's most thrilling finishes. MRN Day fended off 23-year-old Carson Kvapil of JR Motorsports in a final-lap side-by-side battle to claim the Focused Health 302.
The Clovis, California native led a race-high 136 of 201 laps. Speedway Media Day started on the pole but gave up the lead early to Sheldon Creed before reclaiming control and holding on through late chaos to secure his third series win of the season.
