Police and School Officials Recover Firearms in Multiple Security Incidents Across Several States

Police searched Haller Middle School in Arlington, Washington, after a report that a student may have brought a firearm to campus; the investigation was ongoing, while a separate report from Jacksonville, Texas, said a firearm was found on a high-school campus. In Queens, staff at Cambria Heights Academy found a loaded handgun and ammunition in an unattended backpack after breaking up a fight, and police reported no arrests.
