Red Mountain reports 50 tungsten assays, expands Pioneer

The Ivanhoe and Lost Creek mines, located near the Pioneer claims, are estimated to have collectively produced about 680,000 tonnes of tungsten ore during the 1950s and 1970s.
At Greenstone, 30 of 113 outcrop, float and spoil samples exceeded 500 ppm WO3, including 17 above 1,000 ppm; the strongest mineralisation occurs over an approximately 400-metre strike immediately south-southwest of the historic Greenstone Mine Claim.
Glow Worm contains mapped garnet skarn extending for roughly 700 metres and has a history of early copper exploration, including at least six adits and four shallow shafts dating to the first half of the 20th century.
Red Mountain said the distribution of mapped garnet skarn closely correlates with anomalous or mineralised tungsten results across Greenstone, Glow Worm and Lost Creek, reinforcing the geological basis for follow-up exploration.
The strongest tungsten zones generally contained consistently low base- and precious-metal values, which Red Mountain said may indicate separate “tungsten only” mineralised zones within the project.
Red Mountain Mining reported strong tungsten assay results from its Pioneer project in Montana, with 50 rock-chip samples exceeding 500 parts per million tungsten trioxide and 31 surpassing 1,000 ppm Stockhead. Peak grades reached 0.55% WO3 at Greenstone, 0.40% at Glow Worm and 0.32% at Lost Creek, while the company also identified polymetallic potential including up to 6.72% copper and 462 grams per tonne silver Mining Weekly.
Red Mountain has expanded Pioneer to 517 hectares across three main prospects forming a 5-kilometer mineralized corridor. The project sits near Almonty Industries' Gentung tungsten deposit and historic mining operations that produced roughly 680,000 tonnes of tungsten ore during the 1950s and 1970s Gold Coast Bulletin. The company plans additional mapping and drilling during its October field program.
