Pop Mart Unveils Southeast Asia's First Pop Bakery and Flagship Store at Resorts World Sentosa

Singapore-exclusive desserts at POP BAKERY include two variations of the Twinkle Twinkle Tangy Coconut Mousse — a tangy pineapple version with passionfruit popping boba and a sweeter version with boba and red bean — plus the Pucky Xiao Long Bao Dessert featuring soya milk panna cotta and Pucky ice cream served with biscuit-stick 'chopsticks' and a milk chocolate dipping sauce, and the Twinkle Twinkle Dreamy Banana Pastry.
POP MART is launching Singapore-exclusive GO AROUND WITH POP MART merchandise for the RWS outlet, including a Singapore-exclusive pendant and a Singapore-exclusive storage bag as part of the series.
Celebrity artist signings and appearances are planned, with Agee and Yep (HACIPUPU) and Hanna (CHAKA) slated to meet fans at specific dates, including HACIPUPU on 30 July and CHAKA on 31 July.
The two-storey POP MART villa at Resorts World Sentosa is located in the Weave development, with the POP MART Store on the ground floor and POP BAKERY on the second floor (a 40-seat bakery), situated next to Pierre Hermé Singapore.
Pop Mart has opened a two-storey pop culture villa at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore, bringing Southeast Asia's first POP BAKERY to the region, according to Little Day Out. The venue sits in the Weave development, with the POP MART Store on the ground floor and a 40-seat bakery cafe on the second floor, right next to Pierre Hermé Singapore.
The move marks Pop Mart's first overseas expansion of its bakery concept, which previously had only one standalone outlet in Aranya, China, Retail Gazette reported. It also comes as the Chinese toymaker faces slower domestic sales, pushing it to grow its lifestyle presence abroad, per South China Morning Post.
The POP BAKERY menu leans heavily on Pop Mart's most popular characters. The Twinkle Twinkle Tangy Coconut Mousse comes in two versions — one with tangy pineapple and passionfruit popping boba, and a sweeter one with boba and red bean, according to Little Day Out. A third highlight is the Pucky Xiao Long Bao Dessert, which pairs soya milk panna cotta and Pucky ice cream with biscuit-stick 'chopsticks' and a milk chocolate dipping sauce.
The menu also includes the Twinkle Twinkle Dreamy Banana Pastry, alongside a wider range of 45 character-themed pastries and drinks, Retail Gazette noted. All desserts are crafted by a local pastry team, making the Singapore outlet distinct from the original China location.
Beyond the cafe, Pop Mart is selling a line of GO AROUND WITH POP MART merchandise made only for the Resorts World Sentosa outlet. The series includes a Singapore-exclusive pendant and a Singapore-exclusive storage bag, per Little Day Out. Fans can also shop for the brand's signature blind-box figurines in the ground-floor store.
The RWS venue is part of Pop Mart's broader push to become a lifestyle and entertainment brand, not just a toy retailer, Retail Gazette reported. The Singapore opening signals the company's intent to roll out the bakery concept to more Asia-Pacific markets.
Pop Mart has lined up a series of appearances to mark the opening. Fans can join scheduled meet-and-greet sessions with Twinkle Twinkle and other Pop Mart characters on select dates, according to Little Day Out. Artist signings are also planned, with Agee and Yep from HACIPUPU set to appear on 30 July and Hanna from CHAKA on 31 July.
Pop Mart's Singapore expansion is not just about desserts. South China Morning Post reported that the move comes amid softer domestic sales in China, pushing the company to find new growth outside its home market. The Sentosa store and bakery are part of a wider strategy to build brand depth in Southeast Asia.
The RWS venue is only the second standalone POP BAKERY in the world. By planting its dessert flag in Singapore — one of Southeast Asia's most visited tourist hubs — Pop Mart is betting that food and lifestyle experiences can carry the brand further than toys alone, Retail Gazette noted.
