Sentinel Metals confirms multiple stacked gold zones during maiden Montana drilling campaign

The Columbia campaign, which began in June 2026, is Sentinel Metals’ first drilling at the project in approximately 20 years.
The 48-metre result in DDCO26-003 comprises several distinct zones: 17.8 metres at 1.00 g/t gold, 17.5 metres at 0.82 g/t, and 6.1 metres at 3.50 g/t, including the 1.5-metre high-grade interval at 12.1 g/t. Additional mineralization included 2.5 metres at 2.59 g/t and 2.5 metres at 1.64 g/t at greater depths.
The deepest hole drilled at Columbia to date, DDCO26-002, extended to 700.8 metres to test the deep HSAMT conductor; it peaked at only 0.19 g/t gold, but the data was incorporated into the geological model for the resource update.
The reported intercepts are downhole lengths, and Sentinel has not yet established their true widths—an important qualification when assessing the geometry and potential thickness of the mineralization.
Core recovery varied materially between holes: recovery through the high-grade zone in DDCO26-003 reached 100% and averaged 94% for the hole, while recovery in the shallow oxide zone of DDCO26-004 was 51%, rising to 79% across its reported mineralized intervals.
Sentinel Metals confirmed stacked gold zones across 140 metres at its Columbia Gold-Silver Project in Montana, marking the company's first drilling campaign in roughly 20 years. Hole DDCO26-003 intersected a combined 48-meter interval grading 1.13 grams per tonne gold, including a 1.5-meter section at 12.1 grams per tonne, while hole DDCO26-001 returned 46.8 meters at 5.33 grams per tonne gold with a high-grade core of 13.5 meters at 15.7 grams per tonne.
The results support Sentinel's plan to update the project's mineral resource estimate in November 2026, building on the existing 920,000-ounce JORC-compliant resource. Drilling continues to test mineralization around and beneath the known resource and to evaluate deeper geophysical targets identified by earlier surveys.
The maiden drilling campaign tested four holes totaling 2,100+ meters. Hole DDCO26-001 confirmed 46.8 meters at 5.33 g/t gold from shallower depths, reconciling with earlier PhotonAssay results. Hole DDCO26-003 showed distinct stacked zones: 17.8 meters at 1.00 g/t, 17.5 meters at 0.82 g/t, and 6.1 meters at 3.50 g/t, plus deeper intervals of 2.5 meters at 2.59 g/t and 2.5 meters at 1.64 g/t.
Hole DDCO26-004 encountered shallow gold including 5.7 meters at 1.34 g/t. The deepest hole, DDCO26-002, extended to 700.8 meters to test a deep geophysical target but peaked at only 0.19 g/t gold. Despite low grades, data from DDCO26-002 informed the geological model for the resource update.
Core recovery quality differed materially across the holes, affecting data confidence. Recovery through the high-grade zone in DDCO26-003 reached 100% and averaged 94% overall. However, shallow oxide mineralization in DDCO26-004 showed weaker recovery of 51%, rising to 79% in the reported mineralized intervals.
Sentinel has not yet established true widths for the reported intercepts—only downhole lengths. True width calculation is critical to assess the actual thickness and geometry of each mineralized zone before updating the resource model.
Sentinel plans to release an updated mineral resource estimate in November 2026, incorporating all assay results from the 2026 campaign. The company is expanding drilling to test mineralization around and directly beneath the existing 920,000-ounce resource, as well as deeper targets identified by earlier high-sensitivity audio-frequency magnetotelluric (HSAMT) geophysical surveys.
