PRESIDENT has announced a North American headlining tour in the fall with Cenobia and Showing Teeth on select dates, followed by European and UK dates with vianova and Dreamwake.
UK-based collective PRESIDENT has dropped "dark heaven," the latest single from its debut album *Blood Of Your Empire*, due September 4 via Atlantic Records. Rock N Load reports the band pairs the track with a visualizer featuring real fan reactions filmed inside a church, leaning into the album's themes of faith, doubt, and moral contradiction.
The song asks what remains when certainty falls apart. According to 98KUPD, "dark heaven" tackles how faith can be used to justify division and greed while wearing "the mask of righteousness." It joins previously released tracks "Angel Wings," "DOOM LOOP," and "Mercy" as previews of the full record.
A Church Setting Brings the Song's Themes to Life
Rather than standard performance footage, PRESIDENT chose a church as the backdrop for the "dark heaven" visualizer. The setting is deliberate. The band filmed genuine fan reactions as they heard the song for the first time in that space. Rock N Load notes the approach reinforces the album's mood of reflection and existential questioning.
The choice to use a sacred space signals the tension at the heart of the track. Faith is not rejected outright — it is examined. The video lets viewers watch other listeners sit with that discomfort in real time.
Distorted Guitars Meet 808s in a Dynamic Metal Track
Musically, "dark heaven" blends two worlds. Hometown News Now describes the track as combining distorted guitars with an 808-driven beat — a drum machine sound common in hip-hop — before building into a soaring chorus. The result is heavier and more layered than typical metal fare.
PRESIDENT has built its identity around heavy music, electronic experimentation, and cinematic atmosphere, according to Rock N Load. "dark heaven" fits squarely in that mold while pushing the dynamics further than earlier singles.
Faith, Greed, and Righteousness Drive the Lyrics
The song's lyrics confront a specific idea: that greed and division can hide behind the language of belief. 98online reports the track explores how faith "often justifies division, violence" while projecting moral authority. PRESIDENT frames this not as an attack on faith itself, but as a question about what happens when certainty crumbles.
That question — what is left when the foundation breaks — runs through *Blood Of Your Empire* as a whole. "dark heaven" makes it the loudest and most direct statement yet on the record.
North American Tour Kicks Off the Album Campaign
PRESIDENT will support the September 4 release with a North American headlining tour this fall. AOL reports that Cenobia and Showing Teeth will join on select dates. European and UK dates follow, with vianova and Dreamwake as support acts.
The tour marks a significant step for the collective. A full debut album, four preview singles, and a two-continent tour all point to a carefully built campaign. Fans who caught "dark heaven" in the church visualizer may get the full live experience before the year is out.
