L.A. High School Student Remembered as Caring Friend After Fatal Fall

Student, 17-year-old Xavier, fell from a four-story building at Benjamin Franklin High School in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Sept. 30. While no official details have been released about his death, videos circulating online show a fight between two students and then another student before running away and jumping from the fourth-floor outdoor corridor. Xavier was remembered as a "good friend" who always had a smile. His family, who did not wish to be identified, said Xavier was bullied and expressed concerns over his treatment prior to his death. A GoFundMe page for Xavier's funeral services described him as a “beautiful, caring, and loving boy” who meant so much to his friends and family.
