Consumer Product Safety Commission Recalls 37,000 Squishy Toys For Deadly Choking Hazard

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has recalled nearly 37,000 squishy toys sold nationwide due to a deadly ingestion hazard. ABC Trading is recalling thousands of its Squishy Dumpling Toys and Crazy Squib Ball Toys for violating mandatory safety standards. The recall was issued because the toys can expand beyond permitted limits and pose a deadly ingest hazard. The recalled toys were sold in retail stores nationwide from April 2026 to June 2026. If a child swallows one of the water beads found inside, they could choke. The CPSC also warned that fake and counterfeit squishy toy retailers are selling that do not comply with federal safety requirements.
