Peggy Flanagan holds narrow lead over Michele Tafoya in Minnesota Senate race

Minnesota Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan (D) is narrowly leading her Republican opponent, Michele Tafoya, in a new poll in the state's U.S. Senate race. The InsiderAdvantage survey found that 46 percent of likely voters in the Minnesota state supported Flanagan, while Tafoy garnered 45 percent support. The pollster, Matt Towery, called the results "unusual" for a race in a blue-leaning state, noting that outgoing Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz's (D), waning approval ratings and a widespread fraud scandal in the same state could also contribute factors. Flanagan and Tafaya are vying to replace outgoing Sen. Tina Smith (D-Minn.) after Smith retired last year.
