Volkswagen brings AirConsole in-car gaming to select 2027 U.S. models.

The U.S. launch follows an earlier European rollout: Volkswagen introduced AirConsole on European models in fall 2024, beginning with the ID.7 Tourer.
AirConsole relies on the vehicle’s infotainment system as well as 4G LTE cellular and GPS connectivity, according to the service’s fine print.
N-Dream CEO Anthony Cliquot said North America is “the world’s largest gaming market” and described the goal as turning “in-between time” into memorable experiences.
The rollout also tests whether gaming can persuade U.S. owners to renew paid connected services after their free trials end.
Volkswagen is bringing mobile gaming to the car with AirConsole, making it the first major U.S. automaker to offer in-vehicle gaming on a wide scale. Players can access 20 games including Tetris, PAC-MAN Championship Edition, and UNO Car Party by scanning a QR code. Most models come with a three-month trial of Volkswagen's Premium In-Vehicle service; after that, annual access costs $149 Kelley Blue Book.
