Mastercard launches AI-powered B2B analytics platform to unlock a massive payment market

Mastercard introduced Advanced B2B Analytics, an AI-enabled platform that turns accounts-payable data into supplier payment insights for banks and corporate customers. Dynamic scoring and interactive dashboards are designed to help identify suppliers most likely to accept card payments, target outreach, expand commercial card use, and improve procurement and working-capital management. Mastercard says the tool combines analytics with its consulting expertise to help reduce costs and accelerate supplier adoption; the launch responds to growing interest in card payments and the difficulty businesses face in using fragmented payment data.
Mastercard says the platform serves an approximately $80 trillion addressable B2B payments market, giving issuers an opportunity to capture a share of that spending.
Nearly half of suppliers expect buyers to request card payments more frequently in the years ahead, according to Mastercard.
Mastercard says fragmented data and manual processes can slow suppliers’ conversion to card acceptance and prolong reliance on less-efficient payment methods.
The platform is intended to help financial institutions deepen client relationships and generate additional revenue by growing commercial-card use.
