White Sox ALDS Lead

White Sox rally past Guardians to secure a 2-0 ALDS series lead

The Chicago White Sox beat the Cleveland Guardians 4-3 in Game 2 of the American League Division Series, marking the first time this postseason that the team had trailed in a game. The victory came after a two-run double from rookie outfielder Braden Montgomery and five 1/3 dominant innings from right-hander Sean Burke. The game now heads to Chicago for Game 3, where Rate Field will host a playoff game for the first since 2021. The Guardians, who won the AL Central, are one game away from advancing to the ALCS and are 7-for-61 as a team. Despite a first-round bye by José Ramírez, Cleveland's offensive struggles have led to their elimination.
