Los Angeles Teenage Mother Charged With Murder After Infant Found Dead in Dumpster

Takiyah Rochelle Babers, a 19-year-old mother from Los Angeles, has been charged with murder after her 4-month-old daughter, Luna Babers was found dead in a dumpster. The infant was discovered in a trash bin near the Pueblo Del Rio housing project and had been left there within the previous 24 hours. Babers is being held on $2 million bail and her next court hearing is scheduled for Oct. 30. The case has left the baby's family reeling. Luna had been being cared for by her grandmother, Laura Lacy, and Lacy's partner, Herman Johnson.
