Senator Kennedy Warns Republicans Must Address Rising Living Costs Before Midterms

Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) has stated that Republicans need to tell the American people the truth about the cost of living as they prepare for the midterms. This comes as the GOP faces multiple challenges, including the unpopular Iran war and tariffs. Kennedy argued that telling the public not to believe their own lying checkbooks would not work. The average price of a gallon of regular gas for Americans was about $4.37 on Sunday afternoon, with the same gallon of gas worth about $3.14 the previous year at the same time. A recent Quinnipiac University poll found 62 percent of respondents against President Trump's handling of the economy, and 65 percent said the president’s policies were causing high prices.
