Primark plans to launch home delivery in Great Britain following new warehouse purchase.

Associated British Foods (ABF) has announced plans to launch home delivery in Great Britain in the future. The company, which also runs large food, sugar and agriculture operations, has purchased a new warehouse in Sheffield to support these plans. The move comes after Primark has expanded its “click and collect” offering for people to shop and collect online then collect in stores. Despite a 2.6% drop in Primark sales for the past financial year, ABF expects sales to have dropped by 2.5% compared to the previous year, driven by weaker sales in continental Europe. However, UK sales are expected to have edged up by 0.6%, year-on-year.
