Oprah Winfrey Announces Immersive Live Experience at Las Vegas Sphere for April 2027

Winfrey said the Sphere’s technology can affect more than sight and sound: it has 160,000 speakers, moving seats and olfactory effects—for example, audiences could smell the beach when viewing a beach scene.
Jacob Collier’s performance is designed to make the audience part of the music: Winfrey said he “makes the audience the choir,” allowing spectators to become part of the production.
The event is planned as four shows during the first weekend of April 2027, and it is expected to include surprise guests in addition to the announced performers.
The production’s creative collaborators also include Eras Tour designer Ethan Tobman and designer Baz Halpin, alongside the artists and creators named in the summary.
Winfrey said the project has taken on added personal urgency because she is increasingly mindful that she has a “finite amount of time left” and wants to focus on what she still hopes to accomplish.
Oprah Winfrey is bringing a two-hour immersive show to Las Vegas' Sphere in April 2027 called
Oprah first fell in love with the Sphere's power when she saw U2 perform there in 2023. The venue left her wanting to create her own experience. She decided to build "AHA" around themes of awe, wonder and human connection — values she has championed for decades.
The Las Vegas Sphere is unlike any other venue. It has 160,000 speakers surrounding the audience and seats that move. The show will even use scents — audiences could smell a beach when viewing beach scenes, according to KSL. This mix of sight, sound, touch and smell creates total immersion.
Musician Jacob Collier will perform at the show in an unusual way. Oprah explained that Collier "makes the audience the choir." Instead of watching from seats, spectators become singers themselves. Other performers include Ocean Vuong, Ajeet and Wintley Phipps. The creative team also features Eras Tour designer Ethan Tobman and composer Max Richter.
Oprah said this project carries new urgency for her. She is mindful of having a "finite amount of time left" and wants to focus on what matters most. The show runs April 2–4, 2027, with four performances total. Tickets start at $145 and go on sale September 25, according to Yahoo. Surprise guest performers may also join the announced lineup.
