The Lions held off a two-point attempt from the New Orleans team on the final play of overtime to secure a win. Despite a strong performance from Saints running back Jahmyr Gibbs, who helped move the Lions into Saints territory during overtime, and helped the Lions take a 31-24 lead. Detroit forced three turnovers and recorded four sacks, and Gibbs ran for 156 yards and two touchdowns on a career-high 26 carries. The Saints' defense struggled throughout the second half, with several big plays coming out of favor.
