Beaird Harris significantly increases Bitcoin ETF holdings, alongside other firms boosting crypto exposure.

The Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB) is described as a passively managed fund that “mostly invests in long btc, short usd currency,” aiming to track the performance of spot Bitcoin.
Other investors’ BITB activity included unusually large percentage increases: Financial Management Professionals Inc. reportedly raised its BITB stake by 1,393.9% (to 101,484 shares), while Wealthstar Advisors LLC increased by 215.9% (to 22,240 shares) and Balance Wealth LLC increased by 65.0% (to 57,308 shares).
In DFNM, Waterford Advisors LLC bought a new position during the fourth quarter valued at about $23.838 million—one of the largest non-Beaird additions cited for the ETF.
Market-performance context for BITB was also provided: the article cited BITB opening at $34.13 and trading within a 1-year range of $32.10 (low) to $68.74 (high), alongside a 50-day simple moving average of $39.85 and a 200-day simple moving average of $41.93.
Beaird Harris Wealth Management LLC added 122,276 shares of the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB) in the fourth quarter of 2025, boosting its stake by 18.9% to 768,789 shares worth about $36.6 million. The Dallas-based firm's move signals growing confidence among mid-sized wealth managers in spot Bitcoin as a mainstream portfolio holding.
The purchase brings BITB to roughly 2.5% of Beaird Harris's total portfolio. At the same time, the firm leaned harder into short-duration fixed income, making the Dimensional Short-Duration Fixed Income ETF its single largest holding at 10.6% of assets — worth about $153.7 million.
Beaird Harris is not alone in piling into BITB. According to Ticker Report, Financial Management Professionals Inc. raised its BITB stake by a staggering 1,393.9%, bringing its total to 101,484 shares. Wealthstar Advisors LLC increased its position by 215.9% to 22,240 shares. Balance Wealth LLC added shares too, climbing 65.0% to 57,308 shares total.
These large percentage jumps suggest smaller firms are moving from tiny test positions into real allocations. BITB is a passively managed fund that tracks the price of spot Bitcoin. It trades on NYSE Arca and uses BNY Mellon for custody. The fund opened recently at $34.13, well below its 52-week high of $68.74 but above its low of $32.10.
While Bitcoin grabs headlines, Beaird Harris made its largest commitment in fixed income. The firm added 248,048 shares of the Dimensional Short-Duration Fixed Income ETF (DFSD), bringing its total to 3,204,807 shares worth about $153.7 million. That makes DFSD its top holding by a wide margin. Short-duration funds are less sensitive to interest rate swings than longer-term bond funds.
The firm also added 11,530 shares to its Dimensional National Municipal Bond ETF (DFNM) stake, reaching 847,860 shares worth about $40.8 million — about 2.8% of the portfolio. Meanwhile, Ticker Report noted that Waterford Advisors LLC opened a brand-new DFNM position worth about $23.8 million in the same quarter, one of the largest new entries into that fund.
The mix of crypto and short-duration bonds looks deliberate. Owning BITB alongside heavy fixed income is a classic
Beaird Harris filed its Q4 2025 Form 13F in February 2026. These quarterly reports are required for firms managing over $100 million. They give a snapshot of holdings as of December 31. The filings show a clear pattern: wealth managers that once avoided Bitcoin are now treating it like any other ETF. According to Watchlist News, BITB's 50-day moving average sits at $39.85, while its 200-day average is $41.93 — both well above current prices near $34.
That gap between current price and moving averages may actually encourage more buying. Some institutional investors see dips below long-term averages as entry points. With BITB down nearly 50% from its 52-week high of $68.74, firms adding shares now are betting on a recovery — while keeping the bulk of their portfolios anchored in stable, low-cost fixed income from managers like Dimensional Fund Advisors.
