GOP Spends Millions Daily to Support Ken Paxton in Texas Senate Race

The new Texas PAC, formed last month, has spent $131 million in just 17 days to aid Republican Ken Paxton in his bid for a U.S. Senate seat. This comes as Paxton is tied in the polls with Democratic state Rep. James Talarico, who has accused Republicans of being corrupt and beholden to billionaires. The PAC, which is affiliated with the GOP Senate Leadership Fund, has reported spending more than $61.4 million in two days on ads and other activities for Paxton and against TalarICO. The contest is expected to be the nation's most expensive Senate race this year. Meanwhile, President Trump's MAGA Inc. super PAC and the Senate Leadership fund are having to use hundreds of millions of dollars they might have intended to aid Paxton.
