Bolivia Detains Attorney General Following US Drug Trafficking and Corruption Allegations

Bolivia has arrested its Attorney General, Roger Mariaca, after the US government accused him of corruption. Interior Minister Marco Antonio Oviedo said that police dismantled a criminal organization embedded in the public prosecutor’s office that aimed to protect and encourage drug trafficking. Mariacas was arrested in an operation following the US accusations.
