Clark’s Nike Signature Shoe Arrives Oct. 1

Clark said the Caitlin 1 was a hands-on project, emphasizing that Nike did not simply create a design for her approval: “I put a lot of time and effort into it. It’s not just like Nike mocked this up and I check the box.”
After returning from helping the U.S. win a gold medal at the women’s FIBA World Cup, Clark gave Caitlin 1s to her Indiana Fever teammates; she has also gifted pairs to other WNBA players during the season.
Clark has worn more than eight Caitlin 1 colorways during the season, but Nike has not said whether all of the versions she has previewed—including the black and Iowa-inspired pairs—will eventually be sold to the public.
Nike unveiled Clark’s signature logo in August 2025 and has since expanded her branded apparel and footwear ahead of the Caitlin 1 launch.
The shoe’s debut follows Clark’s first gold medal with the U.S. women’s senior national basketball team, a milestone noted as she prepared to return from the international break with the Indiana Fever.
Caitlin Clark's first signature sneaker, the Nike Caitlin 1, arrives in the United States on October 1 for $140. The shoe launches in Caitlin Blue and Warning Code Yellow, with additional colorways—including black and Iowa-inspired designs—already previewed. Clark, who had a hands-on role in design, said she hopes the shoe helps fans feel connected and confident. ESPN noted she is the fifth active women's basketball player with her own signature shoe.
Clark emphasized her direct involvement in creating the Caitlin 1. She told reporters, "I put a lot of time and effort into it. It's not just like Nike mocked this up and I check the box." ESPN reported that Nike unveiled Clark's signature logo in August 2025. Since then, the company expanded her branded apparel and footwear ahead of the shoe's launch.
Throughout the basketball season, Clark has worn more than eight Caitlin 1 colorways on court. Sneaker News confirmed that Nike has not yet announced which preview versions—like the black and Iowa pairs—will be sold publicly. The secrecy builds anticipation among fans and collectors ahead of October 1.
After helping the U.S. win gold at the women's FIBA World Cup, Clark gave Caitlin 1s to her Indiana Fever teammates. The Athletic reported that she has also gifted pairs to other WNBA players throughout the season. The gifts reflect her status as one of basketball's biggest rising stars and her generosity off the court.
Clark's signature shoe deal marks a major milestone for women's basketball. WNBA.com noted she joins Nike athletes Sabrina Ionescu and A'ja Wilson. Angel Reese and Breanna Stewart—who have deals with other brands—round out the five active players with signature shoes.
The Caitlin 1 will release in China before arriving in the U.S. market. Footpatrol reported that the earlier China launch signals Nike's global bet on Clark's popularity. At $140, the shoe sits at a mid-range price point for signature sneakers, making it accessible to young fans.
Nike's investment in Clark's brand extends beyond footwear. ESPN confirmed the company has expanded her apparel line alongside the shoe launch. This multi-category approach mirrors deals given to established stars like LeBron James and Kevin Durant.
