Jonathan “Jon” Holtaway, a member of the Hawthorn Bancshares Board of Directors since 2019, passed away at the age of 55. Holtaway was known for his deep understanding of community banking and a thoughtful, long-term perspective that challenged his team to think strategically and pursue opportunities for growth. He was also a frequent speaker at banking industry conferences and author of The Growth Penalty: Banking and the American Recovery.
