MONAT México Together Celebrates Significant Milestones, Product Launches, and Regional Growth

MONAT brought together hundreds of independent distributors from Mexico, Panama, and Colombia for a multi-day summit in Mexico City on June 14–15, 2026. The event, called
The weekend also marked a product debut and a historic first. MONAT launched its new BOND IQ™ Collection, a four-step haircare system using lupin protein and peptides. According to Financial Post, consumer studies found that 89% of participants felt their hair was stronger after use.
The biggest moment of the weekend came on June 15. Barbara Turbay, a former beauty queen and TV personality turned top MONAT seller, drove away in a brand-new white BMW. She became the first person in Mexico to earn a spot in MONAT's Motor Club, a reward program for the company's highest-ranking partners, according to National Post.
MONAT Co-Founder and Chairman Luis Urdaneta attended the event and called out her achievement directly.
Before the main summit, MONAT held a private session on June 12–13 at TikTok Mexico's headquarters in Mexico City. Only the market's top 50 sellers were invited. The session focused on content creation and building sales through social media, according to Edmonton Sun.
The move reflects a bigger strategy. MONAT now ranks as a top 5 haircare brand on TikTok Shop. By training its sellers inside TikTok's own offices, the company is betting that social media will replace traditional door-to-door and home-party sales methods entirely.
MONAT used the summit to officially launch the BOND IQ™ Collection. The system is a four-step regimen designed to strengthen and repair hair from the inside out. It uses lupin protein and peptides to rebuild hair bonds — the same science used by high-end salon brands. MONAT is now entering that space directly, according to Sault Star.
The bond-building haircare market has grown rapidly in recent years. Salon-exclusive products have dominated it. MONAT's move to sell a competing product through its distributor network could open the category to a much wider audience at lower price points.
The Mexico push is not just about celebration. MONAT reported $600 million in global revenue for 2024 — a 14% drop from its $700 million peak in 2023, according to Financial Post. The company is looking to markets like Mexico, Colombia, and Panama to reverse that slide. Mexico now serves as MONAT's main hub for the Spanish-speaking world.
The company has also faced scrutiny. The Better Business Bureau's Direct Selling Self-Regulatory Council investigated MONAT in 2025 over income and health claims, leading the company to revise social media posts for accuracy. In May 2026, MONAT announced it had prevailed in separate litigation filed against it, according to Ottawa Sun.
