Stelar Metals plans new share issue to fund growth, exploration, and strengthen balance sheet.

Stelar Metals Limited has raised A$2.6 million to fast-track drilling at its Hill of Leaders tungsten project. The ASX-listed company placed 13,141,421 new shares with sophisticated and professional investors, both new and existing, according to TipRanks and Market Screener.
The placement marks a significant step for the early-stage explorer. It gives Stelar fresh cash to push ahead with one of its key mineral projects at a time when tungsten demand is growing globally.
Stelar Metals set the issue price at a discount to current trading levels, TipRanks reported. The company placed all 13,141,421 shares in one go. The deal was fully subscribed, with commitments secured from both new and existing investors classed as sophisticated or professional.
The shares are expected to be issued on 11 August 2026. That date is the formal settlement point for the placement. Once issued, the new shares will rank equally with all existing ordinary fully paid shares on the ASX.
The funds go directly toward drilling at Hill of Leaders, the company's flagship tungsten project. Tungsten is a critical mineral used in defence, electronics, and industrial tools. Demand for it has risen as Western nations look to cut reliance on Chinese supply.
According to Market Screener, the placement was described as a "Successful Placement to Fund Hill of Leaders Project." The company aims to use the money to move quickly through the next phase of exploration drilling at the site.
Issuing 13,141,421 new shares means the total number of shares on issue will rise. That dilutes the ownership stake of current shareholders. Each existing share represents a slightly smaller slice of the company after the placement goes through.
Dilution is common for junior explorers raising growth capital. The trade-off is that the company gets cash to fund work that could increase the overall value of the business. Whether the Hill of Leaders results justify the dilution depends on what the drills find.
Stelar Metals trades on the ASX under the ticker SLB. It focuses on mineral exploration and development at an early stage. That means higher risk but also higher potential upside if the company makes a significant discovery, TipRanks noted.
The company's strategy is to identify and advance projects in minerals that matter for the global energy transition and defence sectors. Tungsten fits squarely in that category. The Hill of Leaders drilling program will be a key test of whether Stelar can turn its exploration ground into a credible resource.
