Belairdirect Partners With OSHEAGA and RBC Amphitheatre, Linking Insurance to Summer Life Moments

Belairdirect is heading to Canada's biggest summer stages this year. The Canadian insurer announced a dual-city activation called "Insurance in Real Life," covering 15 concerts at Toronto's RBC Amphitheatre and a dedicated stage at Montreal's OSHEAGA festival, according to Newswire.ca.
The campaign runs from June 14 through September 15 at the RBC Amphitheatre and wraps up at OSHEAGA from July 31 to August 2. It pairs brand experiences — including an insurance-themed mini-putt game — with a $1 million commitment to the Breakfast Club of Canada, per Newswire.ca.
At OSHEAGA, belairdirect will sponsor the festival's "VALLEY" stage, putting its name in front of 130,000-plus daily attendees, according to OSHEAGA Official. The activation goes beyond signage. Festival-goers can buy waffle bites, with $4 from each sale going directly to the Breakfast Club of Canada.
In Toronto, the company will run interactive setups at 15 concerts across the summer. The centrepiece is a mini-putt game built around everyday insurance scenarios. VP of Brand Bryan Dinh said the goal is to "meet people where they are" and tie insurance to "life moments that matter most," per Newswire.ca.
On May 7, belairdirect officially pledged $1 million to the Breakfast Club of Canada for 2026-2027. The money is designed to fund 500,000 breakfasts for children across the country, according to Newswire.ca. One in three Canadian children arrives at school hungry each day.
This is not a new relationship. Belairdirect has partnered with the Breakfast Club since 2018 and has delivered 1.6 million breakfasts in that time. Senior VP Marie-Lucie Paradis said the company is focused on "building resilient communities" by tackling food insecurity, per belairdirect's newsroom.
The summer push follows belairdirect's February hire of creative agency Rethink as its new agency of record. The move signals a brand pivot away from traditional, fear-driven insurance ads, according to Media in Canada. Rethink's Pascal Routhier is steering the brand toward "captivating brand experiences" instead.
Belairdirect has roots going back to 1955 in Quebec. It was also the first insurer in North America to sell car insurance online. Today it operates as a subsidiary of Intact Financial Corporation, the largest property and casualty insurer in Canada, per Newswire.ca.
The Toronto venue only officially became the RBC Amphitheatre on May 21, 2026, after RBC committed $140 million to Canada's arts scene through naming rights, according to Billboard Canada. The venue is targeting 1.5 million annual visitors by 2030, giving belairdirect a high-traffic stage for long-term brand exposure.
Industry analyst Mona Grabowski of HUB International notes that festival insurance costs are rising in 2026 due to higher security needs and labour pressures, per Insurance Journal. Corporate sponsors like belairdirect provide critical funding that helps keep these large events financially viable. Some Montreal music fans have raised concerns about festival commercialisation, but OSHEAGA's 2026 partner list — which also includes Bell and Banque Scotia — shows how dependent major festivals have become on corporate money.
