Digital Extremes unveils Warframe: Tau, Brysko, and Fortnite collaboration at annual TennoCon event.

Digital Extremes marked 11 years of TennoCon with its biggest reveal yet: a full gameplay showcase of Warframe: Tau, the first expansion in the game's 13-year history to take players beyond the Origin System entirely Financial Post. Warframe: Tau Takes Players to an Entirely New Star System
Warframe: Tau is the game's next major Narrative Chapter. It sends players to the Tau System — a location teased in the game's lore for years but never before playable Financial Post. The Tau System is where the Orokin empire once sent machine-like beings called Sentients to terraform new worlds. Now players will finally travel there.

Matthew Mercer Voices Brysko, a Noir Detective Warframe
Brysko is a new "Chimera Warframe" — a Warframe fused with Sentient technology National Post. Critical Hit Games Online voice actor Matthew Mercer, best known for Dungeons & Dragons show Critical Role, voices the character. Brysko fights with brass knuckles called "Rain & Shine" and an exalted revolver named "Corecracker."

Digital Extremes confirmed an official crossover with Epic Games' Fortnite Toronto Sun. The deal brings Warframe's iconic Excalibur frame into Fortnite, exposing the game to one of the largest player bases in the world. Warframe already has over 85 million registered players globally. The crossover could push that number significantly higher.
Other near-term content includes Shockwave, a new version of Warframe's free battle pass called Nightwave, set to launch in August 2026. The fall update, Iceblade of Narin, features the game's 66th Warframe — an ice-themed female frame named Narin. Soulframe Adds Dark Morality System and New Voice Cast
Soulframe, Digital Extremes' upcoming dark fantasy game, got a major update called Warsongs Hanna Herald. The update introduces a morality-style system called the Vadagar Pact. Players who use a corruptive substance called Ichor gain darker abilities, drawing comparisons to games like Knights of the Old Republic and BioShock. A registration deadline of July 12, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET was set for guaranteed pre-alpha access.
Soulframe also revealed a new cast of voice actors. Ben Starr plays Tempest Bayor, a returning villain. Jennifer English plays the Empress of Eldveil, a mysterious ally. CEO Steve Sinclair jokingly called the game's dark path "our Spider-Man 3 update... where he gets emo and dances."
