Arizona Tour Company Files Lawsuit Against Trump Administration Over Higher National Park Fees

Arizona tour company, Across Arizona Tours, has filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration for charging foreign tourists higher fees to visit national parks and other public lands. The company argues that this structure exceeds the authority of the Interior and Agriculture departments. Since January 1, foreign visitors to some of the nation's most popular national parks have been required to pay a $100-per-person nonresident entry surcharge under an executive order signed by President Trump. This comes on top of the standard entrance fee of up to $20 per person or $35 per vehicle. Annual passes for nonresidents cost $250 for non-residents versus $80 for U.S. residents under the same rules. The lawsuit alleges that these fees have led to decreased business from potential tourists visiting the Grand Canyon National Park.
