Russian Aerial Attack on Kyiv and Region Kills Three, Including Child

A Russian attack on Kyiv and the surrounding Kyiv region on September 30 killed at least three people, including a child, and injured eight others. The attack also caused extensive damage and casualties in the wider Kyiv area. In the Sviatoshynskyi district, a fire broke out and a warehouse was burning in Holosiivskyi. In central Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyo district, debris was also discovered on the grounds of a Western embassy. In Vyshhorod, a Russian strike destroyed a private residential building, and during search-and-rescue operations, a child was found under the rubble. Three other people, mostly children, were injured in the attack. The Russian attack comes amid an increase in Russian aerial strikes against Ukraine, with 3,177 UAVs launched in September compared to 2,850 in August.
