Daughters Condemn Killer Father and Vow Never to Visit Him in Prison

Caleb Flynn, the father of "American Idol" alum and ex-church pastor, was sentenced to life in prison without parole for fatally shooting his wife and their mother, Ashley, in 2002. His daughters, Ava and Alyssa, delivered scathing statements condemning their father's actions, accusing him of sinning "big time" by having an affair with a "dirty girl" before killing their mother. They vowed to never visit him in prison. The girls, who were 9 and 11 when their mother was murdered, are now being cared for by Ashley's sister and brother-in-law, Kayla and Matthew Keyt. Prosecutors claim that Flynn killed Ashley in order to start a life with his mistress, Aleigha Botner, who testified against him at trial.
