Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam 3 crosses Rs 100 crore in just two days.

Drishyam 3 has shattered box office records, crossing ₹100 crore in just two days across India and worldwide. India TV News reports the Ajay Devgn thriller earned ₹66.75 crore on Day 1 and ₹39.84 crore on Day 2, bringing its total to ₹101.84 crore net in India and ₹104.49 crore globally. The film opened on Gandhi Jayanti, a national holiday that boosted ticket sales and marked Devgn's career-best opening day.
Directed by Abhishek Pathak and starring Tabu, Shriya Saran, and newcomer Jaideep Ahlawat, Drishyam: The Conclusion beat out Hollywood competition and other Hindi releases to dominate theaters. DNA India notes the film is performing exceptionally well across major cities. Exhibitors added over 1,000 screens on Day 2 to meet demand, expanding from 16,125 to 17,226 total shows.
Ajay Devgn's opening day collection of ₹66.75 crore represents a massive 334% jump from Drishyam 2's ₹15.38 crore opening in 2022. The 66.75 crore figure marks the third-biggest opening day in Hindi cinema history and Devgn's largest single-day earnings ever. The timing of the October 2 Gandhi Jayanti holiday played a major role in driving foot traffic to theaters nationwide.
Drishyam 3 held exceptionally well on its second day, collecting between ₹39.84 and ₹50+ crore net. Pinkvilla reports outstanding holds in major urban centers, particularly Maharashtra where collections dropped by only 5% and Karnataka where daily earnings grew. Morning occupancy averaged 28.77%, jumping to 51.46% by afternoon, with an overall average occupancy around 40.12%.
Trade analysts project the film will reach approximately ₹175 crore in net collections by the end of its opening weekend. The controlled production budget relative to typical Bollywood event films makes it highly profitable for producers and distributors, even amid strong competition from Hollywood releases and other Hindi films.
Before production began, actor Akshaye Khanna departed the franchise citing creative and financial disagreements. Producer Panorama Studios cast Jaideep Ahlawat in a newly created character rather than recasting Khanna's original role. Ahlawat joins returning stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Prakash Raj, and Rajat Kapoor in the third installment, directed by Abhishek Pathak who helmed Drishyam 2.
Drishyam 3's massive show allocation has severely limited screen space for competing films. ETV Bharat reports that holdover Hindi releases like Daayra, Haiwaan, and Mirzapur: The Movie, plus incoming Hollywood imports, have been pushed to minimal theater counts. Only select regional projects like Hanuman Ansh retained meaningful screen share in a marketplace now dominated by Devgn's thriller.
