Thai Teenager Nene Royal Competes in the America's Got Talent Season Finale

NBC Insider reported that Nene Royal’s audition video generated 219 million views across YouTube, Instagram and TikTok—the highest total for any audition or act in the season—and that she had surpassed one million followers on both Instagram and TikTok.
Royal was scheduled to perform second in the finale’s running order at Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Her family said she arrived at the venue with her parents, younger brother and personal manager, while she continued rehearsing there.
Before traveling to the United States, Royal reportedly practiced almost every evening with her band, OZNE, for roughly four and a half hours after school. She told Thai media, “I’m 100% confident because I train hard,” adding that she tells herself to deliver her best performance when she takes the stage.
Royal said approximately 2,900 tickets for the finale sold out within a day, reportedly in less than two hours, underscoring the scale of support surrounding her appearance.
Thailand’s deputy government spokesperson Ploythalay Laksameesaengjan described Royal’s appearance as “a genuine display of soft power,” saying her success presented Thai identity on the world stage and made her a positive example for young people in the country.
