Big Brother Season 28 Live Finale Reaches Final Head of Household Competition

The 90-minute finale is set to award a $750,000 grand prize and the America's Favorite Houseguest award, in addition to crowning the season champion.
CBS moved its usual Sept. 30 slot to Survivor 51 and The Amazing Race, leaving no new Big Brother episode before the live finale.
The six jurors named in the coverage are LaTrice Verrett, Angela Murray, Barrett Pfeiffer, Yash Patel, Melody Morris and Dee Valladares. After Morris arrived, Angela Murray challenged her strategy, asking, “What was your actual game strategy?”; Morris said she relied on a strong social game.
The first part of the final HoH was a Benjamin Franklin-themed endurance event called “Shock & Roll”: contestants in colonial-era outfits balanced on moving logs while holding kite poles in simulated rain.
Before their evictions, Barrett Pfeiffer and Melody Morris had said they would vote for Taylor over Drew, while juror Yash Patel later said he respected Drew’s overall gameplay.
Big Brother Season 28 crowns its winner on October 1 in a 90-minute live finale that will award a $750,000 grand prize. CBS revealed that Taylor Brown won Part 1 of the final Head of Household competition, while Rick Devens won Part 2. The two will face off in Part 3, with the winner choosing their Final Two partner and sending the third contestant home.
The jury of six evicted players will vote for the season champion. Just Jared reports that one preview predicts Devens would beat either opponent, though a potential Taylor-Brown matchup outcome remains uncertain. Jury members include LaTrice Verrett, Angela Murray, Barrett Pfeiffer, Yash Patel, Melody Morris, and Dee Valladares.
Part 1 of the final Head of Household competition was a Benjamin Franklin-themed endurance event called "Shock & Roll," according to CBS. Contestants wore colonial-era costumes and balanced on moving logs while holding kite poles in simulated rain. Taylor Brown outlasted her competitors to win this grueling round and move into Part 3 against Rick Devens.
The winner of Part 3 will control the game's final decision. They must choose which of the remaining two players sits beside them in the Final Two. Just Jared notes that speculation suggests either finalist could pick Drew Campbell, though neither contestant has revealed their strategy.
Tense discussions have marked the jury's deliberations over evicted players' strategies. Palm Beach Post reports that juror Yash Patel said he respected Drew's overall gameplay. However, other jury members favor Taylor — Barrett Pfeiffer and Melody Morris both stated before their evictions that they would vote for Taylor over Drew Campbell.
When Melody Morris joined the jury, CBS captured a heated exchange with Angela Murray, who challenged Morris by asking, "What was your actual game strategy?" Morris defended herself by saying she relied on a strong social game. The jury's mixed opinions set up an unpredictable final vote.
CBS shuffled its September 30 television schedule to make room for other programming. CBS moved Big Brother's usual slot to air Survivor 51 and The Amazing Race instead, leaving no new Big Brother episode in the week before the live finale. This means viewers will have to wait until October 1 to see the final competitions and jury votes unfold live.
