October concert listings span cities across the U.S., adding Connecticut shows—including Mohegan Sun’s 30th-anniversary concerts with Alanis Morissette, Foo Fighters and John Mayer, plus Ringo Starr, Insane Clown Posse and America—and Chicago-area acts such as Le Sserafim, Mastodon and Joe Russo’s Almost Dead. Southern California picks include Rickie Lee Jones and Halestorm in the Palm Springs area, and Jack White, Erykah Badu, Social Distortion and She & Him in Los Angeles. Colorado listings include a Denver week featuring Beck, Chance the Rapper, Sara Bareilles, metal acts and Rush, as well as October’s Local 303 spotlight on emerging and returning artists including Audrey Riggs, The Burroughs and Heavy Diamond Ring, alongside collaborative releases and album celebrations. Aspen’s annual John Denver celebration features two distinct tribute concerts by Chris Collins and Boulder Canyon, honoring Denver’s songs and conservation legacy. In Montana, the U.S. Air Force Concert Band and Singing Sergeants are scheduled to tour communities October 14–25 with free performances of American and patriotic music.
Mohegan Sun’s anniversary lineup also includes Lainey Wilson on Oct. 10 and DJ Cassidy’s Pass the Mic Live on Oct. 11; Flo Rida is scheduled for a free Oct. 10 concert in the Wolf Den.
Ringo Starr’s All-Starr Band includes Colin Hay of Men at Work, Steve Lukather of Toto, Hamish Stuart of Average White Band, Gregg Bissonette, Warren Ham and Buck Johnson.
Aspen’s two John Denver tribute programs have separate titles—“Poems, Prayers & Promises” on Oct. 2 and “Rhymes & Reasons” on Oct. 3—and different artists and set lists. Chris Collins said, “No two shows are ever alike.”
