US spot Bitcoin ETFs erase multi-billion dollar year-to-date deficit with massive inflows.

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs erased a $5.8 billion year-to-date deficit and had returned to nearly $800 million in net inflows by late September, after attracting $2.84 billion over six consecutive sessions. The latest streak was the smallest of the three six-session runs on record, and inflows slowed sharply from a high of $999 million on Monday; on September 24, funds took in $190.7 million, led by BlackRock’s IBIT with $162.6 million. IBIT accounted for roughly $1.35 billion of the six-day total, while Fidelity’s FBTC recorded a $12.9 million inflow on September 25. Despite the rebound, year-to-date inflows remained well below the totals recorded in 2024 and 2025.
The current six-session inflow streak was the smallest on record: the Feb. 22–29, 2024 streak brought in $2.35 billion, while the Nov. 6–13, 2024 streak attracted $4.73 billion.
The nearly $800 million in year-to-date inflows remained far below the $35.2 billion recorded in 2024 and $21.4 billion in 2025. September had drawn $2.56 billion so far, following $3.52 billion in August.
The article reported that roughly $4 billion of inflows arrived after Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced increased bond purchases in August, amid a period when 10-year Treasury yields reached a 19-year high.
