Marketers Face Growing Trust, Data Control, and Measurement Challenges in AI

Across AI and marketing, the focus has shifted to trust, oversight and sound judgment rather than capability alone. Vendors may present AI-related security incidents as evidence of capability, while businesses increasingly seek explainability and control over their data, including through self-hosted models. Rapid changes in AI search platforms make strategies tied to a single channel risky, and experts caution against both utopian and apocalyptic narratives in favor of practical safeguards and adaptation.
