Manchester United defender Patrick Dorgu faces potential hamstring injury following international duty.

Manchester United defender Patrick Dorgu was forced off after about 30 minutes of Denmark’s 2-0 Nations League win over Wales, after going down without contact with an apparent hamstring problem. The injury’s severity has not been confirmed, but it raises concern because Dorgu missed several months last season with a hamstring injury; he could miss Denmark’s upcoming matches and United’s October 10 game against Tottenham. Denmark manager Brian Riemer expressed frustration at the growing number of injuries in his squad. The international break has also brought concerns for Liverpool, with Cody Gakpo leaving the Netherlands’ match against Serbia early and Alexander Isak withdrawing from Sweden duty with a reported minor injury; United captain Bruno Fernandes missed Portugal’s match against Norway.
Dorgu had featured in all five of Manchester United’s Premier League matches this season before the injury.
Denmark manager Brian Riemer said seven or eight players who would normally be in a 23-man squad were already unavailable, with Albert Grønbæk also out; he said he might need to call up one or two players to cover the wing.
United were also without several other players: Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo withdrew from England duty, Benjamin Sesko was still recovering from a shin problem, and Amad Diallo and Matthijs de Ligt were recovering from existing issues. The report said United were 12th after taking five points from five league matches and had been knocked out of the Carabao Cup.
Alexander Isak played the full match against Romania and scored in Sweden’s 2-1 win despite taking a heavy stamp; he was later seen with blood soaking through his sock before the Swedish FA confirmed his return to Liverpool with a minor injury.
